Gemma is a dedicated health and safety professional with 20 year’s project experience working in the resources, not for profit and government sectors. Gemma’s interest in health and safety began when she worked at the Paraplegic Benefit Fund, witnessing first hand the devastating impact that workplace injury can have on individuals, their family and the broader community.
Gemma spent six years working for Rio Tinto Iron Ore in a strategic health and safety and contractor management capacity. She was instrumental in designing and developing systems to support and manage the health and safety of contractors, and further specialised in fitness for work policy and programs.
